Reflecting on Term 1's level of student engagement has been high, when I reflect on why it is about the hands on rich in vocabulary writing sessions I am planning in my learning design. For example the pop corn making, cress egg heads, making fairy bread. Creating the play environments to allow learners to exchange information, utilise their oral language skills. This is all helping to raise the level of achievement and gift learners language for their wriring.

Making meaning with our learning progressions on fractions Area:  Stonefields Graduate Profile Building Learning Capacity Mathematics Multiplicative Thinking  Fractions, Decimals and Percentages Level:  Stage 2 Set:  WALHT recognise halves and quarters Intention:  Remember to: Read , write  and represent the fraction symbol for half Draw half of a shape and share a given amount equally (numbers up to 20) Recognise when shapes are divided into fractions up to tenths

                                                           These statistics show that in my teaching practise I am reducing the level of complexity in language of understanding of what and how we are are learning in writing. Another reflection is to slow down the pace especially in building knowledge on a specific writing genre. This notion will take me cross curricular when planning my learning design.
