Data party - much to celebrate, areas for improvement


Particularly focusing on reading and writing we are closing the gap through our collaborative approach in our hub. A midpoint check to reflect on what shift is our impact having on our learners. Also, identifying that all our learners are target learners.

Hub Padlet - Sharing Home Learning This is an intervention to strengthening parent partnerships by creating a three-way level of communication; whānau, child, and teacher. A parent focus group suggested a Hub Padlet to not only share their child's home learning but to also get ideas from other parents about how to support their child. Teachers comment on the learning, provide feedback, and feedforward. The next step in my leadership is to measure this impact at two points in the year, beginning and end. Also, to continue share this practise the influence it has - help others to make this their own. Motivating Writing through writing blog posts

https://travelingteddies78.blogspot.com/ In our Year 2/3 hubs we are having a focus on oral language through writing opportunities. In each hub we have the classroom teddy bear that goes home with a learner who has an experience with the teddy and will write a blog post or email a piece of writing to their teacher to upload on the blog. We are celebrating writing, motivating our learners in light of increasing engagement.
